Skilled Occupational Therapy at Allied Health and Chiropractic, LLC

At Allied Health and Chiropractic, LLC, we now have the ability to treat a variety of complicated elbow, wrist, hand and finger injuries.

Upper Extremity occupational therapy, is typically concerned with treating orthopedic-based conditions to optimize the functional use of the elbow, hand and arm.

Conditions we treat include fractures, lacerations and amputations, burns, and surgical repairs of tendons and nerves. Acquired conditions from BWC/Workers Compensation injuries such as tendonitis, rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis, and carpal tunnel syndrome also are treated by our skilled OT practitioners specializing in hand rehabilitation.

We use an occupation-based and client-centered approach that identifies the participation needs of the client—what he or she wants to be able to do in work and daily life that is fulfilling, necessary, and/or meaningful—and emphasizes the performance of desired activities as the primary goal of therapy.

AHC providers are also capable of custom making elbow, wrist and hand splints and braces, as well as other adaptive equipment that facilitate rather than inhibit early participation in activities such as return to work, dressing or driving.
